At our more than 9,900 pharmacy locations, including those within Target and Schnucks grocery stores, our pharmacy care teams provide trusted advice and counsel to help our patients get and stay healthy.
Our standalone stores offer customers convenience and value across a wide assortment of health, wellness, personal care and beauty products, as well as general merchandise, snacks and groceries. In our HealthHUB locations, consumers can access expanded health services and pharmacy support as well as a broader selection of wellness products.

CVS Pharmacy offers products and services that help support each person’s unique health journey. CVS Pharmacy dispenses millions of prescriptions per year and provides important health care services. Through face-to-face counseling, our pharmacists help drive medication adherence, close gaps in care, and recommend more cost-effective drug therapies.
CVS Pharmacy’s caring pharmacists and pharmacy technicians help people stay adherent through counseling and by using innovative programs that make filling and taking medications easier and more affordable.
ScriptPath automatically reviews the patient’s current CVS Pharmacy prescription information and prescriber instructions. It then uses clinical data to generate a schedule of the most effective times of day to take each medication. Patients receive an overview of their regimen, a prescription schedule and corresponding prescription labels that take the guesswork out of what to take and when.
Pharmacy Advisor® helps CVS Caremark plan members achieve better health outcomes. Through the program, a pharmacist engages plan members who are diagnosed with chronic conditions either at the pharmacy counter or by phone when the member chooses mail service pharmacy.
Available with Caremark and Aetna benefit plans, Transform Diabetes Care uses CVS Health data insights and analytics to create personalized care plans for individuals across five clinical areas. The plan can be communicated through local CVS pharmacists and HealthHUB® professionals, digitally and virtually. Members are provided myriad tools to support their personalized care plan. The data also allows CVS Health to identify gaps in care and respond to patient needs before they arise.
Immunizations can help prevent a range of ailments and diseases, including seasonal flu, meningitis, chicken pox, and others. CVS pharmacists are trained to provide vaccination services, offering patients a safe and convenient way to stay on top of vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Patients can conveniently schedule an appointment either on the CVS.com website or through the CVS app.

When it comes to better health, being ahead of the curve is part of the CVS Pharmacy DNA. In 2014, we became the first and only major drugstore to stop selling tobacco. Since then, we’ve continued to take major steps in our commitment to better health throughout our aisles.
Through Tested to Be Trusted™ we were the first national retailer to require third-party testing and verification of all vitamins and supplements. Through an independent lab, we test national and store brands to confirm that ingredients listed on the label are accurate and that they are free from certain additives and contaminants.
In 2016, we became the first and only national retailer to remove sunscreens with an SPF below 15 from our shelves. In 2020, we expanded our commitment to healthy sun protection by removing oxybenzone and octinoxate from all CVS Health brand sunscreens with an SPF below 50.
In 2018, CVS Pharmacy committed to not materially alter beauty imagery created for in-store or online advertising and social media. At the same time, the company introduced the CVS Beauty Mark, a watermark designed to highlight imagery that has not been materially altered.
In 2019, CVS Pharmacy’s Beauty in Real Life campaign highlighted an authentic and more realistic image of beauty. Through both traditional advertising and influencer campaigns, Beauty in Real Life set out to empower women to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.
CVS Pharmacy stocks more than 2,500 over-the-counter CVS Health-branded health care products to help customers and their families get well and stay well.
We were the first major retailer to announce the removal of trans fats from all CVS Store Brands food products, 18 months ahead of the FDA requirement. Plus, our Gold Emblem Abound ™ brand of wholesome snacks and grocery essentials are free from artificial preservatives and flavors.
Membership programs and other services
For more than 20 years, ExtraCare Rewards has given members access to exclusive, personalized offers, savings and rewards on nearly everything they buy. It’s free to join and rewards can be used like cash towards almost anything in the store (some restrictions apply). Members can earn additional ExtraBucks Rewards through sales and promotions, as well as through the opt-in ExtraCare Beauty Club and the ExtraCare Pharmacy & Health Rewards program.
The free CVS Pharmacy app gives members easy access to their ExtraCare Rewards card, ExtraCare coupons, ExtraBucks Rewards, digital manufacturer’s coupons and exclusive app-only deals. App users can even get a notification when they’re in the store to remind them of deals available on their CVS Pharmacy app.
Customers can opt in to receive CVS Pharmacy emails with coupon offers, promotional info and personalized product recommendations. Simply tap “send to card” on all coupons received via email, on digital receipts or in the CVS Pharmacy app.
A new feature introduced this year allows customers to use the CVS app to scan the barcode of a product to quickly find related coupons and send them to the card for redemption at checkout.
