CVS Health® today announced a $1 million contribution in monetary donations and up to $100,000 in product donations to support relief efforts in communities in Florida and Puerto Rico impacted by the devastation of Hurricanes Ian and Fiona.
“Our thoughts are with those impacted by the recent hurricanes and we are moving quickly to help,” said Sheryl Burke, senior vice president of corporate social responsibility and chief sustainability officer of CVS Health. “We will continue doing all we can to support relief and recovery efforts for our employees, communities and customers in Florida and Puerto Rico.”
Contributions include supporting the Florida Disaster Fund to help immediate recovery efforts, the World Central Kitchen, which began serving meals to the hardest hit areas the day after the storm passed, and Feeding America and its agency partners in Florida and Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico to expand food distribution to those who need it most. CVS Health has also provided supplies to several nonprofits supporting these communities and is actively working with local officials to find additional ways to continue helping neighbors in Florida and Puerto Rico.
In advance of the hurricanes, CVS Health implemented proactive measures across its businesses to ensure continuity of care. Learn more about how the company is supporting customers, patients and colleagues here.
