Funding to local nonprofit organizations and access to disaster relief resources will aid local communities and CVS Health colleagues

WOONSOCKET, R.I. — CVS Health (NYSE: CVS) and the CVS Health Foundation are supporting relief and recovery efforts to help communities and colleagues impacted by the recent tornadoes in the Midwest and southern regions of the country.

In support of impacted communities, the CVS Health Foundation is making a $100,000 donation to the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund. CVS Health is also working with long-lasting disaster partners — World Central Kitchen and Good 360 — to provide emergency assistance in affected areas.

The Aetna Better Health of Kentucky Medicaid team is conducting outreach for access and continuation of care to members in the region and is in local communities distributing essential supplies.

CVS Health is also prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of impacted colleagues by providing local crisis, financial and disaster resources. Colleagues in need of immediate financial relief can seek assistance through the Employee Relief Fund. Emotional support services are also available to colleagues through Resources for Living.

“CVS Health is committed to helping our colleagues and the communities impacted by the tornadoes in the Midwest and southern regions,” said Eileen Howard Boone, Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility and Philanthropy for CVS Health, and President of the CVS Health Foundation. “As more details on the devastation emerge, we will identify additional ways to support our local nonprofit partners and first responder organizations leading relief efforts.”

CVS Health has a longstanding commitment to providing financial support and other services to communities and colleagues nationwide when they’re affected by natural disasters and other tragedies. Since its inception, the Employee Relief Fund has provided more than $5 million in grants to colleagues facing unforeseen financial hardships.

CVS Health also contributed more than $200 million in 2021 to communities around the country through the CVS Health Foundation, corporate grants, gifts in-kind, and employee volunteerism.
