Coram nurse Pete MacEwen is extraordinary, just ask the Way family. Their little son Vaun was born with a rare genetic disorder that results in muscle weakness. “Most children with Pompe’s don’t live past 18 months,” says Vaun’s mother Paloma. “When Pete started caring for Vaun, we felt like we could breathe again.”
