2014 Recipients of #GivingTuesday Grants

December 2 marks the third annual #GivingTuesday, a national movement following Black Friday and Cyber Monday in which charities, individuals, schools, businesses and other community organizations come together for a national day of giving back.  #GivingTuesday reminds us that the holiday season should go beyond shopping and be a special time of year when we give back to our local communities.

For the second year in a row, CVS Health has joined this national movement that supports local organizations and volunteers. Last year’s campaign was so successful that this year we more than doubled the donations made, totaling $100,000 from the CVS Health Foundation. We asked our colleagues to share their stories and nominate a local charity they volunteer with to receive a #GivingTuesday grant, and we received more than 500 nominations.

This year, 50 colleague-nominated organizations nationwide will receive a $2,000 grant as part of our #GivingTuesday initiative, which not only provides deserving nonprofit organizations with funding, but also recognizes our colleagues who bring our values of caring and collaboration to life all year long by volunteering with organizations and causes that are close to their hearts.

Funding through the #GivingTuesday grant program will support 50 organizations nationwide, including:
