Giving Tuesday Grants

Each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, CVS Health joins businesses, schools, charities, individuals and community organizations for #GivingTuesday, a day of charitable giving and volunteerism. This national movement was launched in 2012 to remind Americans that the holiday season should go beyond shopping — it should also be a time of year when we give back to the community.

Participating in the #GivingTuesday movement is a natural fit for CVS Health. Our colleagues log thousands of hours of volunteer hours each year for the causes they care about. In celebration of their efforts, we ask them to send us their stories of volunteering and nominate their favorite charity to receive a #GivingTuesday grant from the CVS Health Foundation.

The grants, awarded on #GivingTuesday, provide much-needed funds to dozens of deserving charitable organizations. In fact, since 2013, CVS Health has granted $125,000 to 75 charities across the country, supporting a wide variety of causes including:

  • Health advocacy and research

  • Education

  • Animal welfare

  • Veterans services

  • Children with disabilities
