Community Heroes Grant Program

CVS Health, WPRI and the Pawtucket Red Sox are joining forces for the third year of Community Heroes, a program that will provide $55,000 in grants to Rhode Island nonprofits. All three organizations are committed to helping youth lead tobacco-free lives. That is why this year’s grant program is a Public Service Announcement campaign where youth can create a 30- or 60-second video on what it means for them to be the first tobacco-free generation.

There are two ways to join!

A. After-school programs, youth enrichment programs and other youth-focused nonprofit organizations are invited to have their youth submit videos through Wednesday, August 2. If their video is chosen, the organization will receive $5,000.

B. Rhode Island youth are also invited to submit a video on their own through Wednesday, August 2. If their video is chosen, a youth-focused non-profit of their choice will receive $5,000.

The ten nonprofits will be announced on August 11, and community members will then have the chance to pick one of these ten organizations for an additional $5,000 bonus grant! Voting will open on August 11, 2017 so check back here then for more information.

Entries must be by August 2 at 5:00 pm EST. When you’re ready to submit your video, email CommunityMailbox@CVSHealth.com. You will receive a link and instructions on how to upload your video to Google Drive.

Please read the PSA Campaign Rules and Instructions carefully.
