LUNG FORCE: Outwit, Outplay and Outlast Lung Cancer Once and for All
Survivor winner Adam Klein lost his mother to Stage IV lung cancer, something he would have never suspected since she was not a smoker. Unfortunately, Adam’s story is not unique. Lung cancer is the number-one cancer killer of men and women in the U.S., and a new patient is given this diagnosis every two-and-a-half minutes.1 Many of these patients have never been smokers.
While much has been accomplished in the fight against this deadly disease, there’s still a long road ahead. That’s why we are supporting LUNG FORCE, a nationwide initiative by the American Lung Association that aims to unite women and their loved ones to stand together against lung cancer.
For the fourth year, we are supporting LUNG FORCE through in-store fundraising campaign at CVS Pharmacy. From now through May 27, 2017, customers can make a donation at any CVS Pharmacy location to help fund lung cancer awareness, research and prevention.
Our partnership with LUNG FORCE is part of Be The First, our five-year, $50 million commitment to helping deliver the first tobacco-free generation through comprehensive education, advocacy, tobacco control and healthy behavioral programming.
