LINCOLN, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2006--PharmaCare, one of the nation's largest prescription benefit managers, announced today that it has been certified as a "Quality Supplier" by Eastman Kodak Company. Kodak has been a PharmaCare customer since 2001, utilizing the company's PBM (Prescription Benefit Management), specialty and mail order services for thousands of Kodak employees and retirees.
Kodak's invitation-only Supplier Quality Assessment Program evaluates an organization's ability to manage its operation in a way that is focused on the customer. Kodak considers five key areas of performance including: the depth, breadth, and maturity level of the supplier's quality management system; quality; productivity; lead-time and delivery. To be successful, applicants must meet or exceed Kodak's established goals and targets.
The review of PharmaCare, which lasted six months, consisted of a written self-assessment, a site visit by Kodak purchasing executives and an analysis of Kodak's findings and unanimous approval by Kodak's quality team. PharmaCare was officially awarded the designation in February, 2006, at Kodak's headquarters in Rochester, N.Y.
"This certification is reserved for Kodak's top suppliers and we're honored to be a member of that elite group," said Greg Weishar, president and CEO of PharmaCare. "We work hard to continually improve the way we do business and being named a quality supplier is a tribute to the effort our employees make every day - for every customer."
