WOONSOCKET, R.I., October 2, 2015 — CVS Health (NYSE: CVS) today announced that Melissa Schulman has been appointed Senior Vice President of Government and Public Affairs. In this role, Schulman will lead the public policy, regulatory, advocacy and public affairs efforts for CVS Health. Working across the CVS Health business offerings, Schulman will tap her rich experience in consulting, trade association representation and on Capitol Hill to develop a comprehensive and proactive approach to state and federal affairs.

Schulman joins CVS Health from the Generic Pharmaceutical Association where she served as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs. Schulman also has nearly 15 years of experience developing strategy for and advising a wide range of clients at the Bockorny Group. Additionally, Schulman served on Congressman Steny Hoyer’s leadership staff as Executive Director of the House Democratic Caucus and as Policy Director. In these roles, she was the Congressman’s chief policy advisor, developing legislative and political strategy. She also spent time working for Representatives Thomas Manton and Geraldine Ferraro.
Schulman is a graduate of the James Madison College at Michigan State University.
