CVS Health is known for the high-quality care we provide our patients. Through our retail pharmacies, walk-in clinics, a leading pharmacy benefits management (PBM) business, and expanding specialty pharmacy services, we’re increasing access to quality care and delivering on our purpose, helping people on their path to better health.
As a result, URAC, a health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry, has awarded CVS Health accreditation in five distinct areas of pharmacy.
CVS Pharmacy was the first pharmacy in the nation to earn the Community Pharmacy accreditation from URAC. All CVS Pharmacy and Longs Drugs locations nationwide have earned this accreditation.
To achieve the accreditation, CVS Pharmacy underwent a rigorous evaluation process to validate the quality of the care and services we provide to our patients, including patient-centered medication management, wellness services, and preventive and chronic disease management.
CVS Caremark, our pharmacy benefit manager, has received URAC accreditation in:
Pharmacy Benefit Management
Drug Therapy Management
Mail Service Pharmacy
Health Call Center for Pharmacy Advisor® counseling program
