David Palombi

Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, and Chief Communications Officer, CVS Health

David Palombi is Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications and Chief Communications Officer for CVS Health. In this role, Palombi is responsible for all aspects of CVS Health’s internal and external communications, including media relations, public relations, social media and corporate reputation management. Palombi also oversees executive and colleague communications, and major internal events that support and drive sales, business development and growth. In addition, he works closely with CVS Health’s government affairs team to support the company’s state and federal government affairs strategies.

Prior to joining CVS Health in 2014, Palombi was Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at WellPoint, Inc. where he helped guide communications during the national debate over health care reform. He also held executive-level communications positions at Freddie Mac, Barnett Banks, Inc., and Riggs National Corporation, Washington, D.C., and its domestic and international bank subsidiaries.

Palombi began his career as a political and business reporter for regional daily newspapers, and later served as Washington, D.C., bureau chief for five daily newspapers owned by the Allbritton Communications Company.

Palombi is a member of the PR Seminar and the Arthur W. Page Society, both groups comprising senior corporate communications executives.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware.
