Jason Hawbecker is Vice President, Enterprise Business Development, for CVS Health and a Partner and Co-Founder of CVS Health Ventures. He leads the team to identify and execute opportunities to accelerate the company’s growth through strategic partnerships, investments and acquisitions.
Hawbecker joined the company in 2015 and has held multiple roles at CVS Health including leading Corporate Development / M&A where he was responsible for the more than $70 billion acquisition of Aetna and divestitures of RxCrossroads to McKesson and Aetna Part D drug plan to WellCare. In addition, he oversaw the integration of the CVS Health and Aetna enterprises.
Hawbecker earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University, and he holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
He spent the early years of his professional career as an investment banker focused on sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions. He then led the Business Development team for the Kenmore, Craftsman, and DieHard brands at Sears Holdings Corporation and was the General Manager of the DieHard brand.
